About NHL Anytime Goal Scorer Predictions
Tonight's most likely goal scorers
PuckPredict's goal model rates every forward and defenseman it projects for the night's games. This page shows the ten it rates highest among the games still to be played — the skater, his position and team, the opponent, the puck drop and the model's goal probability.
What is on this list?
The ten skaters our goal model rates most likely to score in tonight’s NHL games that have not started yet, ranked from the top. When a game starts its skaters leave the list and the next names from the later games move up, so late in the evening the list is about the West Coast games. Skaters listed as out or on injured reserve are left off; day-to-day skaters stay on.
What does the goal probability mean?
It is the model’s estimated chance that the skater scores at least one goal in that game, given that he plays — the same bet an anytime goal scorer prop is, which a sportsbook voids when the player does not dress.
When are the predictions posted?
The model posts the night’s probabilities each morning, and they hold for the day. The list itself keeps moving: games starting take their skaters off it, and so does a skater being ruled out.
How is this different from the full Goal Scorer model?
This page shows the top ten. The full Goal Scorer model ranks every skater on the night’s slate and adds the best available odds, value plays and matchup ratings. It is part of a subscription.
